Personal trainer content: a series beyond transformation photos

Explain how you work and what someone should ask before a first session. Each post needs a real demonstration or a clear answer.

A personal trainer’s social media content can explain the service without relying on transformation photos. Build a series around what a first session involves, how you explain a movement and what someone needs to ask before booking.

This is a content plan, not an exercise programme. Individual training decisions belong in the appropriate consultation, rather than in a caption aimed at everyone.

Choose one question per post

For an illustrative trainer offering one-to-one sessions, a useful starter series could be:

QuestionMaterial to prepare
What happens in the first session?Your actual appointment outline
What should I bring?Your confirmed preparation instructions
How do you explain an exercise?A permitted demonstration of your coaching approach
Where does the session take place?A real view of the space and access details
How can I ask about suitability?Your usual consultation or contact route

Replace these examples with your own service facts. Do not invent qualifications, client progress or availability to complete the series.

Show your explanation, not a universal prescription

A video can show how you explain a task to someone, while making clear that individual choices vary. Avoid prescribing the same load, repetitions or result timeline to every viewer.

Write the opening before filming and match it to the demonstrated action. The short script guide helps remove lines you cannot show or substantiate. A clip should not imply that following it guarantees a body change.

Prepare footage with the right permissions

Film yourself or someone who has agreed to the specific public use. Check mirrors, background conversations and visible client information. If you cannot publish a session, record a separate demonstration.

Use accurate captions for spoken words. Review them for names, technical terms and negations; one missing “not” can change the meaning. Generated footage should not be presented as evidence of your coaching or a client’s progress.

Give each post one next step

A first-session post can point to your appointment information. A preparation checklist can ask the viewer to read the full instructions. A suitability question should direct them to your consultation route.

In Blitz Planner, add reviewed text and finished footage, select the connected account and schedule each ready post. Client assessment and booking stay in your existing process.

Check the series before scheduling

Verify credentials mentioned, service details, permissions and contact links. Keep any post with an unresolved personal claim as a draft.

Use content batching to record the service explanations together. Start with “what happens in the first session”: it answers a concrete question without requiring a dramatic result story.
